JAMB Promises Major Reforms Before 2031, NYSC Introduces Fresh Rule to Keep National Confusion Alive

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced plans for sweeping reforms before 2031, while the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has unveiled a fresh camp rule, reassuring Nigerians that no generation will ever experience education without at least one institution waking up every year to "improve the system."

JAMB officials described the planned reforms as necessary to modernise examinations and strengthen credibility. Nigerian students, however, immediately asked the only question that matters:

"So... are we writing CBT or solving escape-room puzzles now?"

Education experts welcomed the announcement, noting that every few years JAMB successfully reinvents the examination experience just when students have finally figured out the previous version.

Meanwhile, NYSC authorities introduced a fresh camp directive, reminding prospective corps members that orientation camp remains the only place in Nigeria where adults with university degrees can still be collectively punished because one person forgot to tuck in a shirt.

Corps members reportedly received the new rule with the emotional resilience of people who already expected at least seven additional instructions before breakfast.

Former corps members have also joined the conversation, proudly repeating the timeless phrase:

"Our own time was worse."

Historians confirm that every NYSC batch since 1973 has sincerely believed it suffered more than the batch before it, making the statement one of Nigeria's oldest oral traditions.

Parents, meanwhile, have begun calling their children with urgent advice.

"Please obey every rule."

"If they say stand, stand."

"If they say sit, sit."

"If they say sing the anthem backwards, just manage it and collect your certificate."

Educational psychologists have suggested combining JAMB and NYSC into one continuous emotional experience, arguing it would save Nigerians years of gradually discovering that adulthood is simply a series of changing instructions issued by different government agencies.

At press time, JAMB was reportedly preparing another stakeholders' meeting on transforming education, while NYSC officials were preparing tomorrow morning's parade, where thousands of graduates would once again discover that the quickest way to earn a louder shout is to ask, "Excuse me, sir..." before sunrise.
