Political Parties Consider Adding Four Vice Presidents to Avoid 2027 Arguments

As the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) voiced its opposition to the possibility of another Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket ahead of the 2027 elections, political parties are reportedly considering a revolutionary solution: simply adding enough candidates to ensure every Nigerian sees someone they recognize on the ballot.

Sources within several political parties revealed that a proposal currently under review would feature one presidential candidate, four vice presidents, six assistant vice presidents, and a "National Inclusion Coordinator" whose only job would be apologizing to any group that still feels left out.

"We've learned that Nigerians spend more time discussing who is on the ticket than what the ticket is actually offering," one party official admitted. "At this point, we're designing campaign posters, not policies."

The new strategy reportedly includes a complex balancing formula covering religion, ethnicity, geopolitical zones, age, gender, tribe, local government of origin, and even preferred football clubs.

Political analysts say future campaign posters may require drone photography just to fit every running mate into one picture.

Meanwhile, millions of Nigerians expressed amazement that election conversations had once again become dominated by calculations over religious and ethnic balance, while inflation continued rising without needing any campaign posters or zoning arrangements.

"I honestly don't care who prays where anymore," said a frustrated trader in Lagos. "Can somebody just make tomatoes affordable again?"

Television stations have already begun preparing special election panels where twelve analysts will spend three hours debating ticket combinations before concluding that "only time will tell."

Economists, however, warned that while politicians continue perfecting the mathematics of political balance, the economy remains stubbornly uninterested in whether candidates attend church on Sunday or mosque on Friday.

At press time, party leaders had reportedly postponed discussions on jobs, electricity, healthcare and education after internal polling showed that debates over ticket combinations generate significantly more headlines than explaining how they actually intend to govern.
