Tinubu Supporters Dismiss Opposition Alliance, Advise Coalition to Try Again After Election
Tinubu’s supporters say the opposition coalition should calm down and reapply after 2027, noting that any alliance still arguing over chairman, candidate and WhatsApp group admin is not yet a national emergency.

Supporters of President Bola Tinubu's re-election bid under the Renewed Hope Project 2027 have dismissed the planned alliance among opposition figures, describing it as an exercise in futility and assuring Nigerians that the emerging coalition poses no serious threat to the President's second-term ambitions.
The declaration has reportedly brought immense relief to Nigerians, particularly those who were beginning to worry that politicians might actually agree on something before the election.
"We are not bothered," one Tinubu supporter explained confidently. "They can form alliance, coalition, federation, association, WhatsApp group or even family meeting. We are ready."
The statement immediately triggered celebrations among political strategists, who noted that nothing gives a political movement more confidence than its opponents spending months trying to agree on who should lead them.
The opposition alliance, meanwhile, appears to be facing the traditional Nigerian political challenge of getting several people who all believe they should be the person in charge to agree on who should be the person in charge.
"This is democracy," one analyst explained. "Everybody wants unity. The only disagreement is over who should benefit from the unity."
Political observers say the situation has created a fascinating electoral paradox: the ruling camp is confident because the opposition is struggling to unite, while the opposition believes it can win if it unites, provided everybody agrees to unite around the right person, which is the part currently under discussion.
Meanwhile, Nigerians have begun preparing for the 2027 campaign season by dusting off their traditional political survival equipment: PVC, generator, data subscription, blood pressure medication and a healthy suspicion of anybody promising a "new Nigeria."
Government supporters have also reportedly begun reminding citizens about the administration's achievements, while opposition figures are preparing to remind citizens about everything they believe went wrong.
At press time, political parties were reportedly holding meetings to discuss how to hold more meetings about holding meetings.
Nigerians, meanwhile, were waiting patiently for the coalition to produce a candidate, a manifesto and, preferably, one politician capable of finishing a sentence without mentioning 2027.
